Since opening in 2002, Family Vision Clinic has one main goal: Provide a fun and relaxed environment that will allow every individual to receive a top notch eye exam with an exceptional focus on eye health care while, at the same time, offering the most modern and fashionable frame selection from around the world.

Our staff is a friendly and energetic bunch that takes pride in customer service. They delight in helping patients meet their needs, sharing knowledge on quality products and new technologies and happiness in finding just the right frame for that special individual. Our staff can help you find that perfect pair or pairs!


Stefanie Hurst

Stefanie A. Hurst, O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Hurst's interest in vision started in high school when she did a research project on contact lenses. She had a great mentor from her hometown of Redwood Falls, MN who guided and "showed her the ropes." Dr. Hurst is an alumna of the University of Minnesota and graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2000 with honors. Since graduation she wanted to pursue her dream of opening a private optometric practice. In August 2002, she and her husband John took a leap of faith and opened their Savage office. Dr. Hurst is very active in the Savage community and volunteers her time as much as possible. She was named Savage Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the year in 2008. In 2011 Dr. Hurst started the FVC Scholarship which is awarded to a senior in ISD 719 who will be pursuing a degree in the medical field. Dr. Hurst is attentive to her patients and strives to make everyone feel welcome in the office. The FVC staff would say she is committed to excellence and quality and seeks the best options for patients and her staff. Dr. Hurst is busy outside her practice with her daughter and twin sons. She enjoys family time, the lake, shopping, reading, and chocolate!


Jenna L. Sculley

Jenna L. Sculley, O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Sculley has been with FVC since 2008 but has been practicing Optometry since 2000. She graduated from Luther College with honors in 1996 and St. Louis School of Optometry with honors in 2000. Dr. Sculley enjoys working with patients of all ages, infant to adult. She is very patient and works extremely hard to understand each individual patients needs. Dr. Sculley's staff would say she is an over the top people pleaser who is very patient and discerning. She enjoys photography, crafts, working with flowers, and home improvement jobs with her husband Brent.


Carol R

Carol R.

Director of Operations, ABO/NCLE Certified Optician, CPOA Certified Optometric Technician

Carol has been in the optical field for many years; becoming ABO & NCLE certified in 2000 and later certified as a CPOA. Carol joined the FVC staff in 2003. She and her family actively participate with the MS Society by biking the MS TRAM, a 5 day 300 mile fundraiser. Carol is keenly aware of the benefits of early detection and monitoring of MS, glaucoma, diabetes and other diseases that can affect vision. The advanced testing equipment available at FVC and the positive impact this testing can have on the lives of people. FVC staff would say Carol is detailed and an adventurous individual.


Roger S

Roger S.

Optical Manager, ABO Certified Optician

Roger joined our staff in 2011 after working for several years as a General Manager in retail optical. Before 2008 Roger served as a pastor, part time professional photographer, and as a volunteer Police Chaplain. Roger loves people and he loves life. He is very caring, witty, helpful, and enjoys serving others while making them laugh. He currently holds the distinction of being the only man on staff, but he takes it in stride since he is surrounded by his lovely wife and two sweet girls at home. Outside of FVC Roger is very involved with his church as a small group leader and a worship team musician. As an ABO Certified Optician he loves to match our patients with the perfect eyewear and customize frames for a great fit. Roger's co-workers would say he was creative, extremely talkative, and able to make us all laugh.


Angela L

Angela L.

Optician

Angela has been in management since 1996 and recently decided to change careers and looked into the optical field. She has always had an interest in eyes since needing glasses and contact lenses as a youngster. Angela has been an FVC patient for years and is looking forward to assisting patients and their eye care needs. FVC staff would say Angela is kind, compassionate, and loves spending time with her two children and husband.


Veronica T

ABO Certified Optician

Veronica has been in the eye care field since 2008. After working several years in retail optical she was ready for a change and joined FVC in 2011.Veronica is very kindhearted and looks forward to building relationships with her patients. FVC staff would say Veronica is a self starter and extremely motivated. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son.


Sandy W

Patient Care Coordinator

Sandy was born and raised in Chicago, IL and has worked in the healthcare field since 2003 and customer service field since 1997. Being a happy and vibrant people person helps her excel when assisting patients. Sandy's fellow co-workers would say she is always smiling, has a relaxed voice, ambitious and not afraid to jump in where needed.


Hannah M

Hannah M.

Optometric Technician

Hannah has always had an interest in health and medicine. She is a recent college graduate who started her medical career as a pharmacy technician. Hannah was excited to switch gears and began her career as an optometric technician in 2011. She saw the opportunity as a learning experience and patients love her cheerful, friendly personality. Hannah is very ambitious and loves to offer frame suggestions when in the frame gallery. FVC staff would say Hannah has is very bright and has a sunny disposition.


Stephanie K

Stephanie K.

Patient Care Coordinator

Stephanie started her optical career in retail and joined FVC in 2009. She enjoys people and loves learning new things. Stephanie adores her three children and she spends many warm summer hours bundled up in a hockey rink. FVC staff would say Stephanie is very witty and funny but yet soft spoken and unassuming.


Grace W

Optometric Intern

FVC has been blessed to have Grace as an intern. She is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas where she received her degree in Biology. She hopes to broaden her experience in vision health before attending Optometry school fall 2012. The staff at FVC would say Grace has a thirst for knowledge and has a bright future. She is looking forward to a career in Optometry.
